Defined Movement Project in Singapore

New Year Project in SingaporeJust one week before the Chinese New year, CoGri kicked off a defined movement project at a single user warehouse in Tuas Industrial Area, Singapore. The client is a local logistics company, providing all-in-one logistics solutions across the Asia Pacific area.

The project was the most recent contract to be awarded to CoGri as part of a long-term relationship with this client and the third time CoGri have carried out works in this warehouse, which is currently being extended and fully renovated. In November 2013 CoGri carried out 235m of whole-aisle Laser Grinding to bring six aisles up to the Category 1 specification. And these same aisles were first laser-ground by Concrete Grinding in the early 1990’s!

The new extension involved construction of a 75mm bonded topping slab using the Long Strip construction method over a floor area of 2,060m2 to comply with Category 1 specification as detailed within UK Concrete Society TR34 (2003 edition). Seven 70m long VNA aisles with racking of over 8m are now being erected following completion of CoGri’s works in February.

In addition, CoGri also cast 210m² at the loading dock area to meet with FM2 specification as detailed within UK Concrete Society TR34 (2003 edition) and two tie-in ramps to allow full access for forklift movements. The CoGri team completed all works in just over two weeks.

Upon the completion of the floor construction work, CoGri submitted a floor tolerance survey report to the client.
