CoGri was a pioneer in bringing Joint free floors to China when in 2010 CoGri constructed the first Steel Fibre Reinforced Slab On Piles (SR-SOP) 55,000m2 floor slabs for Tesco Jiashan Green DC, which scooped the Green Supply Chain Award. More recently, CoGri China constructed the first Joint Free Slab on Grade (JF-SOG) floor slabs for EMAG factory.
EMAG is a global leading machine tool manufacturer with its head quarters in Germany. They are expanding their business in China with the construction of a new factory in the Jiangsu province. Over several rounds of discussion and filed investigation, the client was satisfied with CoGri’s JF-SOG solution and appointed CoGri China as the flooring contractor.
The floor was constructed using JF-SOG, with 35kg/m3 steel fibres at 300mm thickness, which allowed the final floor bearing power to accommodate the client’s machine tool and fulfilled all their requirements. CoGri China worked day and night to ensure the deadline was met whilst never compromising on quality. With good teamwork, attention to detail and strict quality control by CoGri China, the final floor passed the compliance testing survey to Free Movement DIN 18202, Table 3, Group 4, carried out by Face Consultants (Korea) Ltd.
Following the successful completion of this project, CoGri China received another JF-SOG contract from a leading Swiss textile machinery supplier for their Technology Centre. The new centre is also based in the Jiangsu province and is due to start in April.
