As the first to design and construct a Steel Fibre Reinforced Slab on Pile (SR-SOP) project in China, CoGri Asia took this opportunity to show prospective clients how high quality floors can be achieved coupled with their expertise and modern technology in industrial flooring.
With approval from the warehouse owners, this rare event and first site visit took place on the 20th August. Somero China together with 25 personnel attended the construction site based in Jiashan, on the outskirts of Shanghai, China. The visit commenced with a presentation on CoGri Group and CoGri Asia services. This was followed by an overview of SR-SOP construction method, comparative advantages over conventional construction from owner & contractor perspectives and a summary of the project & challenges.
Included in the site visit itinerary was a tour on location. This provided a chance for visitors to discover, view and experience hands-on the construction processes involved.
During the site tour, CoGri Asia enlightened the audience on the construction philosophy behind Steel Fibre reinforced Slab on Pile (SR-SOP), the joint systems used, presented completed floors and demonstrated live casting, strike off and topping methods using Somero equipment.
