Increased Floor Performance
The grinding and polishing of the concrete is a multi-step process that allows you to determine the level of shine, from satin to high gloss, to suit your aesthetic and maintenance requirements. The finish is achieved by grinding the concrete surface using abrasive diamonds, typically following a sequence using finer grit sizes throughout the application, which will smooth and seal the surface. Adding a chemical densifier during the process helps improve the durability of the concrete and ultimately increase the performance of the floor.
Grinding and Polishing
For large industrial buildings, the grinding and polishing of the floor can now be carried out using the same ride on power trowel equipment used during the installation of the concrete floor.
This method enables large areas to be completed in less time when compared with using traditional grinding equipment.

Polished Concrete Floor Finishes
We offer three types of Polished Concrete finish: Industrial, Commercial and Premium. Each has its own defined process and selection of diamond tooling and chemicals.
Industrial
A low-gloss finish ideally suited for large industrial floors where the emphasis is on functionality over aesthetics.
Suitable for use in warehouses, factories, or commercial spaces desiring an industrial look from the floor.

Commercial
A mid-gloss finish with variable exposure of aggregate, where aesthetics as well as functionality are required.
It’s ideal for use in retail floors or public areas such as reception and staff canteens, adding a little sparkle to the environment.
Premium
A decorative, high-gloss finish with fully exposed aggregate where the appearance of the floor is the primary requirement.
Suitable for use in showrooms and prestigious settings where a quality high end finish is required.
