As the Asian economy continues to prosper, partly driven by exports to western economies, CoGri’s work in Asia also grows in tandem. With active business development and marketing activities, CoGri Asia (CGA) is winning contracts.
Amongst these contracts was CGA’s FIRST EVER Laser Screed / Laser Grinder® contract in Singapore. The
18,784 m2 project is being built for a chemical logistics and distribution company. The very narrow aisle (VNA) operation was specified to DM1 and DM2 floor flatness. After casting, Laser Grinding followed with two Laser Grinders. To make this contract more complicated, the Laser Screed floor was constructed on 6 stories, another first for Singapore.
CGA has recently completed their first contract for another logistics firm. This multi storey high tolerance topping slab project was for an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) warehouse in West Singapore.
The first storey had a total area of 15,148 m2, of which the structural slab was pile-supported 450mm thick. The work was undertaken in two phases. The first phase, ASRS area, was cast with 100mm bonded topping slab to the specified FEM 9.832 Version 08.2001 (E) section 4.2.1. tolerance. The second phase, VNA area, 100mm bonded topping was constructed to comply with DIN 15185 for lift heights greater than 6m. In addition, the free movement area around the VNA was cast to meet with TR34, 2003 Floor Classification FM2.
