CoGri Asia Pacific recently completed floor construction at a warehouse facility in Singapore for a local contractor, an Enterprise 50 and Singapore 1000 company, registered with BCA as a Grade A1 “General Building” Contractor.
The project involved constructing a 200mm thick slab to complying with the UK Concrete Society’s TR-34 Table 4.2 Free Movement Specifications FM2. The total floor casting area was 1700m2.
Induced joints were created by sawing into the floor within 24 hours of casting. These joints will subsequently be filled with a polyurethane sealant prior to the handover of the project to the client.
Floor construction was carried out over 2 alternate days in 2 phases. The 1st casting phase involved constructing a floor area of 900m2, while the 2nd phase was an area of 800m2.
A laser guided Copperhead was deployed to strike off the floor to the required floor finish level, with armoured joints inserted at intersection of the 2 floor phases. It took approximately 7 working days to complete this project.
CoGri will produce a flatness and levelness test report to the client upon completion by using the Prop II Meter (for Property II Limits) and survey levelling instrument (for Property IV Limits) for the final handover. The FACE Digital Property II Meter is the quick and simple way of testing the floors short wavelength profile against the property II limits of the Concrete Society’s Technical Report 34 (TR34). By walking the instrument along the floor, data is collected at 1 cm intervals. The extrapolated, colour graphs can be analysed to FM1, FM2 or FM3 of TR34 at the touch of a button.
